Buying A Home

Simplify Your Home Buying Experience
Congratulations on your decision to purchase a new home! It is highly rewarding to buy, own and maintain your own home. Whether this is your first home or if you have a lot of experience with the home buying process, we can help. Purchasing a new home can be overwhelming. Without the right resources and information, the buying process can be stressful and frustrating. By working with our experienced Excelsior Real Estate Agents, you can avoid home buying pitfalls, and we'll be there with you to help every step of the way.

The first step toward finding your new home will be to analyze your needs.

First, write down what you're looking for in your new home. How much space do you need? Do you want to be close to a park or have beautiful lake views? What is the drive time to your office? What amenities are important you and your family?

Second, establish a time frame for buying your home. Do you want to be in your new home for the holidays? Would summer vacation be a good time for your family to make the transition to a new home? These are important things to consider.

Finally, create a mental picture of what your dream home would look like. Turn these ideas into two lists: one should describe your "wants and wishes" and the other should list features that are absolute "must haves" in your new home. The two lists will help you prioritize and get a clearer picture about what you want and need in your new home.
